Intranet Features

When evaluating Intranet features it is advisable to be cautious about some of the products that offer some suspiciously high number (like ‘our software has over 100 features’).  The reality is that these companies, and there are a couple, are seemingly trying to milk every little 'thing' in the interest of high numbers.  Without naming names, I very recently came across one of these ‘Impress’ marketing strategies that lists off every button on a content editor as a feature (style changer, link adder, image uploader, etc). 

The practical reality is that the function is a content editor, only that.  Do not be impressed by numbers in most cases but do beware of products lacking features because this is a far more important indicator and should raise flags.
